Privacy Policy & Terms of Service

Effective for all users of the Company Wager live platform

Last Updated: August 6, 2026 Version 1.0 — Production GDPR & CCPA Compliant
Section 01

Information We Collect

Company Wager is a non-custodial Web3 application. We are architecturally designed to minimize personal data collection. We do not collect, store, or process your legal name, physical address, date of birth, government identification numbers, or credit card and banking details.

Non-Custodial Architecture: We never hold your funds. All prediction stakes are managed entirely by audited smart contracts on public blockchain infrastructure. You retain full custody of your assets at all times.

The limited technical data we process includes:

  • Public Wallet Addresses: Ethereum, Solana, or compatible EVM-chain public keys used to authenticate sessions and record on-chain prediction activity. Public keys are not personally identifiable information under most jurisdictions.
  • Blockchain Transaction Hashes: Immutable on-chain records of prediction placements, settlements, and withdrawals. These are public by nature of the blockchain protocol and cannot be modified or deleted by Company Wager.
  • Technical Metadata: IP addresses, browser type, device type, and operating system — collected transiently via standard server logs and geofencing tools for regulatory compliance, fraud prevention, and geographic access controls. IP addresses are anonymized after 30 days.
  • Session Preferences: Interface settings such as selected language, dark/light mode preference, and UI state — stored locally in your browser via localStorage and never transmitted to our servers.

We do not sell, rent, or share any collected data with third-party advertisers or data brokers under any circumstances.

Section 02

Cookies & Tracking Analytics

Company Wager uses a minimal, privacy-first approach to cookies and local storage. We do not deploy third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or behavioral profiling technologies.

The cookies and local storage entries we use are strictly limited to:

  • Theme Preference (cw_theme): Stores your selected interface mode (dark or light) so your visual preference persists across sessions. This data never leaves your device.
  • Language Selection (cw_lang): Stores your selected display language (EN, ES, ZH, JA, DE) to maintain your localization preference. This data never leaves your device.
  • Wallet Connection State (cw_wallet_addr): Stores your connected public wallet address in browser local storage to maintain your authenticated session. This is your public key only — no private keys are ever accessed or stored.
  • Session Authentication: Supabase-issued JWT session tokens used to maintain your logged-in state. These expire automatically and are invalidated on sign-out.
No Advertising Cookies: We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any third-party behavioral tracking. Our analytics are limited to anonymized aggregate platform metrics (total active sessions, prediction volumes) with no individual user profiling.

You may clear all locally stored preferences at any time through your browser settings. Doing so will reset your theme, language, and session state but will not affect your on-chain prediction records.

Section 03

Data Security & Decentralization

Company Wager's prediction settlement infrastructure is built on public, immutable blockchain architecture secured by Chainlink decentralized oracle networks and Pyth Network price feeds. This design provides cryptographic security guarantees that no centralized server can match.

Important — Blockchain Immutability: By using this platform, you explicitly acknowledge and accept that all on-chain transaction records — including prediction placements, settlements, and wallet interactions — are permanently recorded on the public blockchain. These records cannot be modified, deleted, reversed, or erased by Company Wager or any third party. This is a fundamental property of blockchain technology.

For off-chain data (user account preferences, session metadata), we implement the following security measures:

  • Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted via TLS 1.3 (HTTPS). We do not operate any unencrypted HTTP endpoints.
  • Database Security: User account data is stored in Supabase's PostgreSQL infrastructure with row-level security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own records.
  • Smart Contract Audits: All prediction smart contracts are audited by independent third-party security firms prior to deployment. Audit reports are publicly available.
  • No Private Key Storage: We never request, store, or have access to your wallet's private keys or seed phrases. Wallet connections are read-only public key authentications via standard Web3 provider interfaces (e.g., MetaMask, WalletConnect).
  • Access Controls: Internal platform access is governed by role-based access control (RBAC) with multi-factor authentication required for all administrative operations.

In the event of a security incident affecting off-chain user data, we will notify affected users within 72 hours in accordance with GDPR Article 33 requirements.

Section 04

Global Regulatory Compliance (GDPR / CCPA)

Company Wager is committed to compliance with applicable global data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Union and European Economic Area, and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for users in California.

GDPR Rights (EU/EEA Users): If you are located in the EU or EEA, you have the following rights under GDPR:

  • Right of Access (Article 15): You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
  • Right to Rectification (Article 16): You may request correction of inaccurate personal data.
  • Right to Erasure (Article 17): You may request deletion of your off-chain account data. Note: on-chain blockchain records are immutable and cannot be erased by any party.
  • Right to Data Portability (Article 20): You may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to Object (Article 21): You may object to processing of your personal data for legitimate interests.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

CCPA Rights (California Users): California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, the right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of the above rights, submit a written request to our Data Protection Officer at privacy@companywager.com. We will respond within 30 days (GDPR) or 45 days (CCPA) of receiving a verifiable request.

Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR): We process personal data on the following legal bases: (a) contractual necessity — to provide the platform services you have requested; (b) legitimate interests — for fraud prevention and platform security; (c) legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
